Today, Kindness Club took advantage of the sunshine and cleaned up our playground!
Valentine's Day at UE!
A .410 caliber shotgun shell was found in the hallway at Salem Upper Elementary. Law enforcement was contacted and proper measures were made to ensure there was no threat to our school. No threat was detected. Student and staff safety is our top priority and the situation was taken seriously.
Today we dressed crazy. Tomorrow we wear pink, red, white, or hearts.
Today we "Tipped Our Hats to Kindness." Tomorrow we will dress crazy from head to toe.
This week the Upper Elementary is making kindness the norm! Help us spread kindness and cheer!

4th Grade RTI is working hard on context clues! They highlighted the clues in each sentence to identify the meanings of each nonsense word.
We are so thankful for Mrs. Brakefield and all she does for our students and staff at Salem Upper Elementary. Today kicked off National School Counseling Week. If you see her this week make sure she knows we are appreciative of her hard work!

Due to scheduling conflicts, there will be no play practice after school today, January 25th.
Mrs. Dillon's class has been working on different types of writing. This past week they focused on procedural writing. Students were able to follow their step by step instructions to make their very own hot chocolate.🍫
Fourth grade AR reward was a kickball tournament. 4C was victorious!
