Parents, we want to communicate our pickup procedures to try and eliminate some things we saw last week. On the north end where first and second grade pickups are we have two sides. On the east side of the doors, is where parents walking up need to stay. If your child is getting loaded into a car, please remain in your car in the car lane. Those students will be on the west side of the doors. We will not send students across traffic. If you walk up to get your child, you must walk all the way up to the grass. On the circle drive with our older students, please pull all the way up to get your student. If you are walking up to get them, you need to walk up to the circle drive. They should not be running down to the north lot without a guardian. Students must remain supervised by school staff until we pass them off to parents.
We wanted to notify you that a single round of ammunition was found in a classroom at Salem Upper Elementary. Law enforcement has been notified and this has been thoroughly investigated. We are making this post to keep you informed but also reassure you that there is not believed to be any threat to the school or anyone in it.
Thank you to all who attended our Open House this evening. It was wonderful to see all of the smiling faces both returning and new to us! We look forward to a wonderful year! We have a great group of teachers and staff ready to welcome our students on Wednesday! ✏️ 🐅
Class lists have been completed and are posted on the exterior doors of Upper Elementary. If you did not register your child, they will not appear on a list and will not be placed in a class until registration is completed. Open House is Monday, August 24th from 5:30-7:00! See you then!

We will be holding another walk-in registration day on Thursday, August 6th, 2026, for anyone needing a device or internet connection to complete their online registration for the upcoming school year. This will be held from 8 AM until 3 PM. Please enter the High School library's doors.

New families: You do not have a Parent Portal account, so please use the following link https://bit.ly/OLRkiosk to begin the registration process.
Returning families (including those that did PK, Kindergarten, & Freshmen Pre-registration): Go to your Campus Parent Portal and go to menu > more to find your online registration. If you do not have the Campus Parent app, you can find the link on our website under the "Parents" tab. If you have a new student to add, you can do so during your registration process.
If you have forgotten your username or password, our Campus Parent Portal homepage has the option to send that information to your security email. (You would have had to go to your email and validate your Campus account when you set up your security email to receive a password or username reset email.) If you need to change your Campus security email, you may contact kara.constance@salemr80.org.
